UKSG connects librarians, publishers, intermediaries and technology vendors in the arena of scholarly communication offering support, training and information to its members. There are many synergies between the work of UKSG and Sherif and we have begun to collaborate more closely together to enhance our offering to our members on both sides.

JISC Collections Strategic Groups: Content Expert Group
JISC Collections is a membership organisation, established by the UK Higher and Further Education funding councils, to support the procurement of digital content for education and research in the UK. The Jisc Collections Strategic Groups, formerly known as the Electronic Information Resources Working Group (EIRWG), supports the JISC Collections Team in acquiring online resources for the higher and further education communities and sets the direction of negotiations. The JCSG Content Expert Group is made up of representatives from the educational community and it meets three times each year. sherif is represented by Jane Cooke (University of Liverpool).
UKRI
UKRI stands for UK Research and Innovation, a public body that oversees research and innovation funding in the United Kingdom. Established in 2018, UKRI brings together seven research councils, Innovate UK, and Research England to support a broad range of disciplines across science, technology, engineering, social sciences, and the humanities.
SCONUL
SCONUL stands for the Society of College, National, and University Libraries. It is a membership organization in the UK and Ireland that represents higher education libraries and some national and public libraries. SCONUL plays a significant role in supporting and advocating for libraries in the higher education sector, helping them improve services, access, and resources.
