Biographies

Andrew Knight, Acquisitions and Content Services Manager, Imperial College London

Andrew has been Acquisitions and Content Services Manager at Imperial College London since May 2020. This is a strategic role which looks after acquisitions, metadata and document delivery across seven Imperial College Libraries, identifying and implementing new technologies and innovations, and advising the Library leadership team and colleagues across the College on sector developments.

Andrew represents Imperial College at a sector level on a number of national groups and networks including the Joint consortia tender working party, the SUPC contract management group, and Jisc's Learning Content expert group. His particular interests are around collection development, open access monographs, and library-supplier relations.

Outside of work he is usually to be found on a hockey pitch or gigging in the pubs and clubs of southwest London. He lives in Epsom with his family.


Amelia Brookins

Amelia Brookins holds an MA in Library and Information Studies from University College London and a BFA in Theatre Design (Costume) from the University of Southern California. She started her career working as a costumer for film in Los Angeles, California and went on to work for the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC. She was a Costume Conservation intern at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History and has also held a library volunteer placement in the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), Theatre and Performance department. In 2019, Amelia was the recipient of the Association of Dress Historians’ Madeleine Ginsburg Grant in support of her volunteer archive cataloguing at Shakespeare's Globe Library and Archive. She currently works in knowledge and information management at a London law firm.
